Skin Packaging is a transparent form of packaging used for consumer and industrial goods. The process involves using flexible sheet of transparent plastic and a treated paper board. The plastic is softened by heat and drawn around the product by vacuum and sealed to the paperboard. Skin packaging is done by sealing multiple parts to a master card that will then be die cut to create multiple individual packages of an item. Skin packaging is not only used to display product in as retail environment but also to protect product during shipping.
